Cold weather fix!

Here at Marada HQ we've been rugging up in knits and jackets next to a heater trying to warm ourselves up with a hot chocolate (or two!). We know how cold it is getting! Especially in Sydney and the rain doesnt help too much either. We've done out research for you and bringing to you the best and mor stylish ways to rug up for winter!

A cute cardigan:

Such as this Trapeze Cardigan from Sportsgirl ($59.95). Best way to layer. Wear with tights of jeans and boots. Layer the top with a long sleeve basic and scarves to hide the layers underneath. Easy way to be cute and warm!

Boots!:

The easiest way to keep your feet warm during those freezing days and nights are with a pair of boots because you can wear as many pairs of socks as you desire and no one can tell a thing. People dont often realise but boots are simple to take from day to night. Pair them with jeans and a knit for the day of stockings and tight skirt and cute top and blazer for those cold nights out on the town. Scarves:

Here at HOM we are obsessed with scarves and wear them all year round. They add to any simple outfit and create that extra warmth that we all desire. During winter we prefer the big chunky kind in multiple colours to mix and match with our outfits. We love the one featured above for just $29.95 from Dotti!

Coats:

Every girl should invest in one coat. We invested in ours three years ago and it still looks as good as new! They're great to throw over anything and when you escape in the warmth take it off to reveal your desired outfit. The one about is on sale on ASOS at the moment for $76.52 and is the ideal bargain piece this winter. Did we mention.... we love the colour? Way to make yourself pop and stand out. Don't want to take that risk? Opt for black as it goes with everything.

Friday Favourites: Our top 10 OPI colours

We believe nails say a lot about a person. We always say having nice nails shows that you care about how you look and how you present yourself. Nails are also one of your best accessories and have become a fashion statement around the world. We love nails and getting our nails done, so we thought there was no better topic to write about!

Here our our top ten OPI colours chosen by yours truly,

1. and this little piggy...Pink screams girly. There is no better way to add baby pink to your outfit. It may be a neutral colour but its oh so adorable...

2. Here's to us....
Perfect for the summer time and an easy way to add a pop of colour to any outfit. It's bright and bubbly and adds a dash of personality. And it reminds us of lemon sorbet. YUMM!

3. Care to Danse
Not many people dare to wear purple, but we do and we adore it. Perfect for the autumn time, it's sophisticated and classy yet still adds that touch of girliness.

4. No room for the blues
The perfect shade of blue to make you stand out without screaming "look at me". It tells the world that you're sophisticated on the outside with the heart and mindset of a playful girl!

5. Y'all come back to y...ar
We love this shade for the summer. It's bright like the sun hitting our skin; and immediately puts us in a happier mood!

6. Strawberry Margarita
This is our absolute favourite. It's girly, cute and fun and is easy to wear with everything. It's bright and playful and is our go to colour when we paint our nails, We've always got a bottle on us!

7. Big Apple Red
New york New york, Red is no longer for the elder lady with this amazing shade. Sophisticated and sharp it's easy to take from day to night and is suitable for all ages. We adore red!

8. Malaga Wine
A great shade for the colder months. It not as bright as the big apple red so it ties in the colder colours; generally worn in autumn and winter yet still adds the perfect splash of colour to add some excitement to your outfit.

9. Tickle my France-y
This is a great colour when you feel like wearing nothing but still want to wear something. It's an ideal skin tone colour that doesn't leave a seethrough affect. It's thick enough to add a good layer of polish to produce a nice neutral colour nail.

10. Black Onyx
We're almost certain this is OPI's blackest shade. Ahhhh black. We think it's one colour you MUST have in your polish collection. It goes with everything. And the best part...when your nails are looking drab and you don't have time to fix them up, there's always a black polish to go over them and make them look brand new!

So that's our list, but trust us, we could keep going.....

2012 CMT Music Awards; Our Best Dressed

Sticking to the red carpet theme, the CMT Music Awards were on last night and so we decided to share with you guys are best dressed of the night!

And the winner is......

Carrie Underwood in a beautiful Randi Rahm mini. She looked absolutely stunning with that gorgeous sparkly dress! Although we are not too sure about the shoes, if she went for something more simple and elegant like a pair of pointy Christian Louboutin's we think the look would have all come together so much better, but we are INLOVE with the dress!!!

So usually at award shows most of us girls enjoy the red carpet better then the actual show. It gives us a chance to look at what all the celebs are wearing and how their hair and make up is, and we definitely pick out our favourites right?

Chocolate Overload

We absolutely love chocolate, almost as much as we love fashion, so we thought we'd share with you guys our favourite chocolate treats that we can never get enough of. It never hurt's to add a little sweetness in your life!

Fashion is usually associated with stick thin people who don't like eating....this is not us, oh do we love food!

All we can say is YUM! As you can tell we definitely have a sweet tooth!
